AGGRESSION TRAINING

In-home help for aggressive dog behavior

Calm, experienced help for aggression, backed by years of hands-on work.

There's a reason behind the behavior.

Growling, snapping, resource guarding, dog-to-dog or fear aggression, a bite history. There's almost always a reason behind it, and with the right approach, most of it can get better.

What I actually
help with.

Dogs who guard food or toys, dogs who are aggressive toward people or other dogs, dogs with a bite history. I assess what's actually driving the behavior and work from there.

Sound familiar?

If any of these sound like your days, you're in the right place.

Growls or snaps when you're near their food or toys.

Has bitten someone, or come close to it.

Dog-to-dog aggression makes outings feel impossible.

Unpredictable in a way that scares you.

You've been told your dog is beyond help.

You've started managing the whole house around it.

Honest, experienced, and not easily rattled

Aggression is workable in most cases. I'll give you an honest read of what's going on and what's realistic. This is some of the work I have the most experience with.

What owners say

Giovanna R.

"Alison is truly amazing at what she does. Her approach is knowledgeable and backed by years of experience. The dogs respond to her beautifully, and she teaches in a way that makes everything feel achievable and practical. If you’re looking for someone who truly understands dogs and knows how to bring out the best in them (and in their humans!), Alison is the one. Highly recommended!"

Lauren B.

"Alison is a hero. She clearly knows what she's doing and she helped us find peace in our home again after adopting our ADHD, adrenaline-junkie of a puppy. I think most importantly, I appreciated Alison's high EQ for both humans and dogs. Her sociable nature made it really easy to speak to and learn from her. She's also incredibly accessible via phone and email and continues to be well after your appointments with her. I would recommend her to anyone!"

Kate A.

"Alison has been our trusted go-to expert for all things canine for several years. Most recently she worked with us to change a long standing behavior with our ten year old dog that we had been tolerating (jumping). She helped us understand the root cause of this behavior and gave us an effective plan and techniques. There has been a huge reduction in our dog's attempts to jump on us and on the occasions that he tries, we are able to confidently handle the situation. Thank you!!"
