DOG ANXIETY, FEAR AND STRESS

Help for dogs with anxiety, fear, and stress

A dog who's anxious, fearful, or stressed can be hard to live with. There's real help for this.

Anxiety doesn't always
look like anxiety.

Destruction when you leave. Barking at nothing. Refusing to go outside. Shutting down around strangers. These are some of the most common things I see, and some of the most workable.

What I actually
help with.

Separation anxiety, sound sensitivity, fear of people or new places, generalized anxiety that shows up as reactivity or shutdown. These aren't personality flaws. They're learned responses, and learned responses can change.

Sound familiar?

If any of these sound like your days, you're in the right place.

Panics the moment you leave the house.

Can't settle even when the house is calm.

Loud sounds send them into a total spiral.

Shuts down or snaps the second they're scared.

Hides, paces, or trembles for no clear reason.

You're constantly working around their fears.

I come to you and work in your home.

I don't push anxious dogs past what they can handle. I work gradually, building confidence and teaching you how to read what your dog needs. Anxiety work takes time. Most dogs make real progress.

What owners say

Giovanna R.

"Alison is truly amazing at what she does. Her approach is knowledgeable and backed by years of experience. The dogs respond to her beautifully, and she teaches in a way that makes everything feel achievable and practical. If you’re looking for someone who truly understands dogs and knows how to bring out the best in them (and in their humans!), Alison is the one. Highly recommended!"

Lauren B.

"Alison is a hero. She clearly knows what she's doing and she helped us find peace in our home again after adopting our ADHD, adrenaline-junkie of a puppy. I think most importantly, I appreciated Alison's high EQ for both humans and dogs. Her sociable nature made it really easy to speak to and learn from her. She's also incredibly accessible via phone and email and continues to be well after your appointments with her. I would recommend her to anyone!"

Kate A.

"Alison has been our trusted go-to expert for all things canine for several years. Most recently she worked with us to change a long standing behavior with our ten year old dog that we had been tolerating (jumping). She helped us understand the root cause of this behavior and gave us an effective plan and techniques. There has been a huge reduction in our dog's attempts to jump on us and on the occasions that he tries, we are able to confidently handle the situation. Thank you!!"
